Moreton Bay is a beautiful tapestry of islands, beaches, coral
and rocky reefs and seagrass beds. Moreton Bay is facing so
much pressure from humans – a booming in population,
coastal development, boating and fishing.
Each year threatened turtles are found sick, injured or dead
in Moreton Bay Marine Park and dugongs die from human impacts.
These are threatened species and Moreton Bay should be a secure
sanctuary for them.
