The impetus for forming Friends of Stradbroke Island
(FOSI) was the proposed redevelopment of a much-loved
cabin resort at Cylinder Beach. FOSI and the SIMA have

Friends of Peel Island Association

Getaway Cruising
The cruise was delayed for a short time while the crew
kicked into action & with a little help from a local
going past in a small tender, were able to get the Turtle
a board Getaway. Sadly, this Turtle was showing signs
of floating disease & also had several wounds from
different propeller strikes.
