Hopefully you have chosen to make a complete online
submission on the EPA website. The planning stage we are at
is naturally more exacting than simply putting forward a general
philosophy since each area is examined on its own merits.
This guide is intended to save you time and to help you make
a complete and efficient submission. This can take 1/2 to
1 hour to complete.
Step 1.
A
Please have the following two pages downloaded and open for
quick access. The objective is to copy our suggested submissions
into the EPA submission.
(Hint: If you have tabbed
browsing then right click and open in a new tab. A left click
will open them in a new window and they can be toggelled on
the task bar or use <Alt Tab>)
B The
following may also be useful to you should you wish to be
better informed and to change or add comments
Step 2.
Go to the EPA online submission form. Type in your email address
and press continue as illustrated below

Step 3.
Fill in your personal details. (This page must be completed
fully for a valid submission. When complete hit "Submit"
down the bottom - not shown in diagram)

Note that if you are interrupted you may "Logout
of Survey" (C)
at any time. Please be aware that if you log out of the survey
before you submit a completed page your work will be lost.
We recommend logging out on a new page - ie immediately
after hitting a "submit".
Step 4.
Click yes (D)
to this page below and submit (F).

If you wish to go back at any time to change
anything you can click the back button (E)
to take you to the previous page. Remember to "submit"
any changes.
Step 5.
There are 33 Green (marine national
parks) zones to comment on but it is not as
daunting as might appear at first.

Step 5 continued - Commenting on the zones.
Scroll down to the first zone and using the AMCS page "AMCS_submission_guide"
as a guide, fill in the fields.
5a) Commenting on the zones we support as is.
Under the heading of each zone we support go to the first
option - I support this zone.
Click the down arrow on the drop down box and select "It
protects the area's natural values" (G
matches 1 below). If
you have a second reason then please select that also (H).

5b) Commenting on the zones we feel need more protection:
Where we feel that the protection is inadequate then go to
the second of the 3 choices "I
support this zone with boundary changes".
Go to our document and highlight the appropriate paragraph
in the 4th column (2
in the graphic above), copy and paste the words into the space
provided (I).
Then at J drop
down “it protects the areas natural values” (matches
3). If you have a second reason then please
select that also (K).

Work
your way through the "Green
zones" and move onto the other protection
types:-
Step 6
- Yellow zones,
or conservation park zones
- Dark blue zones,
or habitat protection zones
- Light blue zones,
or general use zones
- Designated Areas
Please feel free to add or modify your comments to personalise
them, using the other documentation suggested at the top and
your personal knowledge of the Bay.
Some fields allow for extra comments and the
last page is for an overarching comment.
Please keep in mind that comments are to be
highly specific.
AMCS thanks you in advance for participating in this rigorous
process. It is the most effective way to "Have
your say".
